This fabulous bronze, by Hippolyte Moreau, is entitled “Captive”. It depicts a young woman in Middle Eastern dress seated by a tree, with her eyes downcast. The costume and her surroundings are modeled with consummate skill and wonderful detail, and the whole has a beautiful green patination.
