This very unusual and striking licqueur set is French, from the end of the 19th century.

This wonderful creation is the work of Raimond of Paris. It is a tour de force of marquetry, a complicated pattern of thuyawood, kingwod and purpleheart, inlaid with brass and mother of pearl.

A fine and impressive late Edwardian Roulette table in mahogany crossbanded with satinwood. The top opens to reveal firstly a playing surface for cards complete with guinea wells to the corners.

This fabulous bronze, by Hippolyte Moreau, is entitled “Captive”. It depicts a young woman in Middle Eastern dress seated by a tree, with her eyes downcast.
